Reutimann to pilot RBR Enterprises No. 92

Team to run limited NASCAR Camping World Truck schedule in 2012; could expand entries if more sponsorship is secured.

 

CERRO GORDO, N.C. (January 8, 2012) –The Ricky Benton Racing (RBR) Enterprises No. 92 Chevrolet Silverado will have a new man behind the wheel in 2012. Two-time NASCAR Sprint Cup race winner David Reutimann will pilot the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) in 13-15 of the 22 races.

 

The team’s schedule could expand if more sponsorship is secured.

Reutimann returns to Truck Series with RBR

 

The '04 ROY will run up to 15 races that are companion events with Cup schedule 

David Reutimann, the 2004 Truck Series rookie of the year, plans to return to the series in 2012, agreeing this week to run up to 15 races in the No. 92 Chevrolet for Ricky Benton Racing, mainly companion events associated with his part-time Cup schedule with Tommy Baldwin Racing.

Team spokesman Rick Benton said Saturday that talks began in earnest after the team hired crew chief Jason Overstreet in early December.

CERRO GORDO, N.C. (December 2, 2011) –The No. 92 BTS Tire and Wheel Distributors/fleetHQ.com Chevrolet will have a new man on top of the pit box making the race day calls in 2012.

NASCAR Veteran Jason Overstreet has been named crew chief for the Ricky Benton Racing (RBR) Enterprises Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) entry. His first race with the team will be the season-opener in Daytona on February 24, 2012.

Matt McCall Dominates at Martinsville

 Matt McCall Dominates;

Questionable call costs him the win at Martinsville

 

Matt McCall was back in the driver’s seat Sunday, October 9 for the Virginia is for Racing Lovers 300 at Martinsville Speedway. McCall was piloting the #51 BTS Tire & Wheel, Denver Marine, Davis Farms Ford for the 200-lap main event that draws the best Late Model Stock Car drivers in the country.

This event at Martinsville is always a wild one and 2011 was no different. The weekend started off with practice on Friday followed by practice and qualifying on Saturday.

CERRO GORDO, N.C. (October 21, 2011) – The No. 92 Ricky Benton Racing (RBR) Enterprises No. 92 fleetHQ.com / BTS Tire and Wheel Distributors Chevrolet Silverado team with driver Clay Rogers will be heading to Martinsville (Va.) Speedway for the Kroger 200 this weekend to attempt its 15th race of the 2011 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) season.

In the series’ first trip to the half-mile paperclip-shaped track in the spring, the No. 92 finished 16th after running up front most of the day, getting as high as third in the running order late in the race.

RBR making NCWTS return at Kentucky

CERRO GORDO, N.C. (September 26, 2011) – After taking the month of September off from the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS), the Ricky Benton Racing (RBR) Enterprises team and driver Clay Rogers are ready to tackle October head-on beginning with this weekend’s running of the Kentucky 225 at Kentucky Speedway.

 Despite the hiatus, the team has been busy.

 “We have been working really hard on the trucks at the shop,” said Rogers, “concentrating on getting the best piece to the track for Kentucky. With the extra time, we’ve done some things that we weren’t able to do when we running more races.

 “I’m looking forward to seeing what we’ve got in the No. 92 truck. The weight is down and there are some things that we moved around in the suspension. We’re hoping all the work we’ve put into the trucks will pay off at the track.”

RBR Enterprises teams with C2C to help tornado victims

CERRO GORDO, N.C. (May 19, 2011) – Ricky Benton Racing (RBR) Enterprises is teaming with Commuinty2Community, a South Carolina-based charity, to help victims of the tornados that ravaged the Southeast over the past month. 

The No. 92 BTS Tire and Wheel Distributors/fleetHQ.com Chevrolet, piloted by Clay Rogers, will be carrying Community2Community’s unique “C2C” logo for Friday’s running of the North Carolina Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

“With the devastation that these storms caused from Alabama to North Carolina, we felt it was our duty to help in some way,” said RBR owner Ricky Benton. “To see what these young ladies have been able to do with C2C in such a short period of time has been phenomenal and we are proud to be a supporter of their efforts.”

RBR Team Ready For Homecoming in Darlington

Rogers Currently 2nd in NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Points

Cerro Gordo, NC –  It will be like homecoming this Saturday for the RBR Race Team as they head into Darlington, South Carolina for the running of the “Too Tough To Tame 200”.  Darlington, the third event of the season for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is only 60 miles from the Ricky Benton Racing headquarters in Cerro Gordo, NC.

Rogers & RBR Team Leave Daytona With Points Lead

Rogers Finishes 3rd in Daytona Debut

Cerro Gordo, NC –  It was excitement at its best Friday night under the “Full Moon” Daytona sky.  In their first race together, Team RBR and Clay Rogers started the NextEra Energy Resources 250 in the 19th position.  The action on the 2.5 mile Daytona International Speedway was stronger than ever and kept the fans standing for most of the 250 mile event.  In the end, Michael Waltrip took the victory making a last lap pass on Elliott Sadler.
