Cheers to Rich and Black’s Tire! Upon going to work, I heard a thump. Oh no, a flat! I pulled into Black’s Tire around the corner, and Rich checked the tires. No flat. Next, he checked the tire pressure; sure enough, it was 10 pounds under tire pressure for my car. I had “just” had them checked three weeks prior, but at a gas station. From now on, Black’s Tire is my only stop for professional people with great service. Thank you, Black’s Tire and Rich, for being so nice.

Black’s Tire Commercial Division recently opened a new 50,000-square-foot retread plant and commercial distribution center in Clarkton, N.C. The new facility replaces another smaller plant in Clinton, N.C., and can produce up to 225 different truck tire retreads from 16-inch to 24.5-inch wheel diameters. Black’s Tire also has 18 commercial tire and service locations in North Carolina and South Carolina, where it offers a variety of new commercial tires under several brands, including Goodyear, Kelly and Dunlop. The retreading plant currently retreads about 100 truck tires per day, but plans to expand that number through customer growth.

AKRON, Ohio, Nov. 24 – An innovative tire from Goodyear, with elements such as a Fuel-Saving Tread Compound, has been named one of the “100 Most Innovative Products of the Year” by Popular Science magazine.

The Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max has been named to Popular Science’s “Best of What’s New” 2009 list of products in the Automotive Technology category.  The tire is featured in a special section of the December issue, which is available this month, along with special coverage at the magazine’s Web site, www.popsci.com.

I wanted to take a moment to tell you about some wonderful customer service i had. I have recently moved to Wilmington, NC and as any car guy knows it takes time to find a good shop. I called and checked prices and blacks was within a reasonable amount on the tires I wanted versus anything I could find on the internet. Bingo so I found a shop with good prices. When I came by last Saturday to get my cooper zeon tires on the staff was very very helpful. I then asked about sliding an exhaust system in, (hey the wife had approved the tires so why not slide an exhaust system in ). So they put me in touch with John who is a mechanic / exhaust tech who works there and he explained to me some options. I had remebered him from a earlier phone conversation where he discussed at length the lift’s available for my 2007 dodge ram. I have been taking my car to Kenny at Black’s Tire in North Myrtle Beach since I moved here about 18 years ago. He runs his store with the utmost professionalism, honesty, and you can count on great service every time. His tire prices are fair, and they will take care of you. Black’s Tire is a wonderful asset to our community.

Great Service! We use Black’s Tire and Service for our company vehicle and have done so for several years. They even come out to fix flat tires at our office. I started taking my personal vehicle there for oil changes as well. The customer service is very good and the prices are comparable to other places in the area. I highly recommend Black’s Tire!
